Movement around the area
The festival spans the entire Verkatehdas area and the Aulanko Granite Castle, with activities in both indoor and outdoor spaces. The outdoor areas have different surfaces, such as asphalt, grass, sand, and gravel. There are several stairs marked on the map. Accessibility at Festival Locations
Verkatehdas Main Building
The main entrance to Verkatehdas Glass Courtyard is located on the side of the building facing Lake Vanajavesi. The entrance has automatic doors, and it is accessible. Due to renovations at the Opistotalo, accessible entry to the Glass Courtyard from the upper side (Verkatehtaankuja) is via a connecting corridor, passing by the Lyceum School and the Bio Rex cinema.
Bio Rex
The entrance to the cinema, ticket office, and all halls are accessible and located on the first floor. All halls have spaces for people with mobility impairments.
Theater Main Stage / Reading Stage
The main entrance to the theater has a wheelchair ramp and an electrically assisted door with a button. There is accessible access to Row 3 of the Hämeenlinna Theater’s auditorium. The hall has an induction loop. Wheelchair spaces can only be reserved via the box office. The theater’s foyer and reading stage are on the same level and do not have thresholds.
Verstas Stage
There is a high threshold at the entrance to Verstas Stage. Staff will provide a portable ramp if needed.
Art Museum
The Hämeenlinna Art Museum is fully accessible. The exterior doors do not have automatic openers, but staff are happy to assist. Both museum buildings have elevators.

Lyceum School
There is a wheelchair ramp and an automatic door at the main entrance of Lyceum School. The building has an elevator.
ARX Building
There is an accessible entrance to the ARX Gallery. The door has a ramp and electric door opening buttons.
HÄX Basement
Access to the HÄX basement is not accessible. There is one step up to the door and one step down to the space.
Children’s Garden
The Children’s Garden has accessible access via a sandy path from the back of the Hippo Stage coming from the direction of Lake Vanajavesi. The garden has a gravel surface, which makes it difficult to move with a wheelchair.
Aulanko Granite Castle
The Aulanko Granite Castle is inaccessible, but there is an accessible viewing area for performances.
